Hi Aadya! I really need your help! I have no self-confidence. At all. Like when there is a deadline for something I get so nervous and stressed out and I think I won’t get it done. I can’t sleep at night because I am so stressed out and worrying about it. The funny thing is that I had like no self-confidence before lockdown but it has gotten stronger during the lockdown. Like I am starting school next week and I have this huge list of work that needs to be done before school starts and I am so stressed that I won’t finish it and then I will be in trouble with my teachers. And I am recovering from being sick so that doesn’t help anything. I get so tired just walking around so doing school makes me super tired. I probably will be fully better by then so I need to get this work done. How can I get more self-confidence and believe in myself!?! I need your help!!

Looks like you are worrying about things that might not happen. I do that to a lot too. Like when I’m worried I have WAY to many advice letters to answer =D. But let’s view your problem.
The best way to cure your problem? Think positive thoughts. Making it a habit could REALLY boost your self-confidence. You’ll be surprised by the changes! Meditating could also help you. Try the 4-7-8 breathing exercise. If you don’t know how it works, here’s what to do:
- Inhale for 4 seconds
- Hold your breath for 7 seconds
- Exhale for 8 seconds.
- If you’re not able to do it, chop these numbers in half. It works the same.
- Doing this twice a day could also let you sleep easily and make you less sick.
Okay, so now, about believing in yourself thing. Try thinking, “I can do it!” Because you certainly can. Just try.
