Here we go again. The police, Miranda, Sam, and I were heading into the cave. We fought the guards everywhere. One of the guards’ swords scratched my hand. I collapsed and tried to stop the blood coming out. Luckily, Sam helped and wrapped her bandana on the scratch. “Okay, mother, get up! We have no time, so hurry,” she reminded. We kept on running, until we all –yes, all of us- fell to the ground. Then, we saw Mae rushing to the scene. “Thank you, boys,” she said to the guards. Then she eyed me. “Oh. It is you again. Why I’m pleased to see you….” she smiled at me. I saw the lines of magic leaking from her fingertips.
She yelled, “COME WITH ME, OR ELSE! YOU MUST COME.” Most of us walked toward her castle, while some turned around and left. Finally, when we arrived, everyone was ordered to sit down. Luckily, there was a little bit of magic lying on the floor, so somebody hurled it at Mae. She fell and cried in pain. “Oh, my!! Guards…help!” The guards ran toward her, but Mae disappeared into thin air. Suddenly, all the cell doors opened, and everyone stampeded out. We ran away from the castle, and back home.
Sam, Miranda, and I received a cash prize for what we had done. Well, even if you go through dangerous caves and deal with scary guards, it always pays off.
